Local StakeHolders Group

The Project’s Local Stakeholders Groups

What is the Local Stakeholders Group (LSG) ?

The Local Stakeholders Group (LSG) is a structured consultative body established at local level within the framework of ATLANTIC BRIDGES to ensure strong territorial anchoring of the project. It brings together a diverse range of actors representing public authorities, port and maritime institutions, economic stakeholders, business support organisations, academic and research institutions, civil society organisations and, where relevant, community representatives.

Its composition reflects the quadruple helix approach promoted by the project, ensuring a balanced integration of political decision-makers, economic actors, knowledge providers and societal representatives. By fostering dialogue among these different profiles, the LSG creates a collaborative space for exchange, shared reflection and collective intelligence at territorial level.

Its role, objectives and added value

The Local Stakeholders Group plays a strategic and operational role in the project’s implementation. It contributes to identifying local challenges related to the triple transition (ecological, economic and social), provides feedback on the proposed methodologies and strategic framework, and supports the co-design of territorial action plans.

Beyond consultation, the LSG strengthens local ownership of the project and enhances the legitimacy, feasibility and impact of the proposed solutions. Its involvement ensures that project outputs are not only conceptually sound at transnational level but also adapted to concrete territorial realities. By facilitating dialogue between decision-makers and practitioners, the LSG contributes to the long-term sustainability, replicability and transferability of the project outcomes across the Atlantic Area
